BrickWorld ("we", "our", or "the app") is a LEGO brick recognition and collection tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use BrickWorld:

• Account Information: Username, email address, and password (stored securely with encryption) when you create an account.
• Profile Photo: If you choose to upload a profile picture, it is stored with your account.
• Collection Data: LEGO sets you add to your collection, including their status (wishlist, building, completed).
• Scan Data: When you use the scan feature, images are sent to our servers for analysis and are not stored permanently.
• Usage Data: XP points, level progression, and scan history to provide the app experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the app's features (scanning, collection tracking, leaderboards).
• To manage your account and authenticate your sessions.
• To display your profile on the public leaderboard (username and level only).
• To process in-app subscriptions through RevenueCat.

3. Third-Party Services

BrickWorld uses the following third-party services:

• OpenAI: For AI-powered brick recognition. Images sent for scanning are processed by OpenAI's API and are subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat: For managing in-app subscriptions. Subject to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• Rebrickable: For LEGO set and brick data. No personal data is shared with Rebrickable.
• Rakuten/LinkSynergy: Affiliate links to the LEGO Shop. Clicking buy links may set cookies on the LEGO Shop site for affiliate tracking.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. Passwords are encrypted using industry-standard hashing (bcrypt). We use session-based authentication to protect your account. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties except as described in section 3 (third-party services necessary for app functionality). Your username and level are visible on the public leaderboard.

6. Children's Privacy

BrickWorld is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Update your profile information within the app.

8. Camera and Photo Library

BrickWorld requests access to your device's camera and photo library solely for the purpose of scanning LEGO bricks. Photos taken or selected are sent to our servers for analysis and are not stored permanently or shared with anyone beyond the analysis service.

9. In-App Purchases

BrickWorld offers a Pro subscription managed through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play Store. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple/Google — we do not collect or store payment information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
